we tend to think of intimacy as something shared between others. a first kiss. holding hands. saying i love you for the first time. but is it not more intimate to have something shared with yourself. your first heart break. when you cried yourself to sleep. you spent a summer morning on a hike alone with only the sound of the earth to accompany you. learned to love yourself again said i missed you. that is the most intimate. is when you learn to feel yourself again. and love her back.
